Chocolate Model Train Set – 13 February – 9 March 2017
This winter break, the Station Museum and E.Wedel has prepared for the visitors a very sweet attraction – the Chocolate Model Train Set built by one of the best Polish pastry chefs, E.Wedel Maestro of Chocolate, Janusz Profus.
The Model Train Set has been made of about 500 kg of chocolate and takes up about 12 square metres. The length of all tracks combined is about 30 metres. The Model Train Set depicts tree-grown mountains, a railway tunnel, a railway station, a railway depot with a workshop, a level crossing, points and cars. The most important element of the Model Train Set is a moving train, which consists of a steam locomotive BR 80 and goods wagons, tank cars, a hopper car and platforms. All these elements were made with great precision and attention to details.
Besides the Model Train Set, you can also see 4 other chocolate sculptures: dog Irys, a falcon, an Aztec dress and golden fish.
For Valentine’s Day, on 13 and 14 February, the visitors will find a chocolate treat next to the ticket office. They will be also able to take part in a photography contest with prizes and take a free souvenir photo in a special photo booth.
