Ok, closeLocomotives without tender (tank locomotives) of this series were built for the purpose of supporting the passenger trains movement in the agglomeration traffic. Due to the diameter of motorized wheel sets (1450 mm) were classified as freight locomotives (the letter "T" in the designation series). In the first group from the years 1950-1952 91 copies for the Polish State Railways (HCP 78 and 13 Fablok) were manufactured, other group of locomotives was sold for export. After a three-year break, in 1955, production of the second group of 100 steam locomotives with some design changes, manufactured entirely in Fablok Company of Chrzanów was launched. Units from the first group started its service at the following District State Railways Managements: Warsaw, Lublin, Katowice, Łódź, Szczecin and Gdańsk. Locomotives from the second served also to Kraków and Wrocław District State Railways Managements. The Polish State Railways received very useful series of locomotives, especially appreciated in the area of Kraków and Wrocław District State Railways Managements, (Kraków and Wrocław DOKP) where on the mountain routes they were successfully used to run passenger and express trains. The copy of TKt48-36 steam locomotive presented at the exhibition began its service in Skarżysko and ended it in Zbąszynek. It was deleted from the Polish State Railways inventory on 17 August 1992 .
